Carolyn Cassin has devoted her professional career to improving end of life care in the US by helping develop legislation that became the Medicare Hospice Benefit and by directing hospice programs across the country.   In January 2008, she will assume presidency of the National Hospice Work Group, and in this video segment she explains the philosophy of hospice and shares her insights into how something that started as a grass roots movement is destined to look in years to come.
